As part of the charitable project on publishing of popular scientific literature LuckyBooks, employees of the IT company Lucky Labs, which is a patron of the project, tell Ukrainian students about the development of technologies and the influence of popular scientific literature on their professional activities. One of such meetings took place at school №2 in the city of Vyshneve, Kyiv region.

Lucky Labs project manager Anton Ivanov told teenagers about the life and inventions of Nikola Tesla. The first book by LuckyBooks "Tesla and car on space energy" by Luka Novelly was introduced fifth-graders. It is distributed free of charge in libraries in Eastern Ukraine. And schoolchildren told about their interests in the world of science. It turned out that the circle of interest in the Ukrainian fifth-graders is quite wide: from the origin of the atoms to the principle of the work of the electrogenerator.

I am very interested in the scheme of the hydrogen bomb. I know only about an atomic bomb. Previously, I was watching entertainment videos on the Internet, and now I only watch educative ones, because they contribute to self-development, "says pupil Artem Zherdetsky.

And I'm curious to know if it's possible to do engineering on nuclear energy. I wonder if this kind of energy can work generators, transport? But it should be used only for peaceful purposes, - says Nazariy Eremenko.

The most important global discoveries are inventions not in chemistry or physics, but in innovations in medicine. If in the world there are no healthy nations, and the population will die, what is the point in some kind of generators? - notes Andriy Gutsalenko.

Summarizing, Anton Ivanov told the children the story from his own experience, when popular scientific literature helped to find new ideas in professional activity. And not only:

In the popular scientific literature, everybody finds what he/she likes: is it the cycle of Yakov Perelman's books "Interesting Physics / Mathematics / Geometry," or "The Short History of Time" by Stephen Hawking. Science-pop allows you to find out about the world a bit more, lets you touch what is going on. Therefore, this knowledge also helps in everyday life.
