During the First International Children’s Literature Festival in Chernivtsi "Literature Future" LuckyBooks decided to pay children’s attention to the science with the help of good literature. That is why Alina Shtefan, the author of the book Summer in the DNA Length, supported by the representatives of the Department of molecular genetics and biotechnology, Chernivtsi National University gathered children to talk about biotechnology and the future brought by it. 

A non-fiction book cannot replace the real education and you cannot become a professional if you do nothing but reading popular-science literature. Nevertheless, such books can provide you with the understanding whether you would like to know more about this sphere. They can also tell you about all the spheres you have never been involved in since it is impossible to know everything. And then by adding knowledge from different spheres you can form the true concept of the world, - says Alina.

Her words achieve their objective. 

I don’t think much about my future education. But when I heard today that geneticist would soon be able to revive extinct animals with the help of small relics I understood that I would like to breed new dinosaurs in future, - says Denys, a schoolboy of the 7th form.

The staff of the Department of molecular genetics backed up Alina’s words with visual evidence. They got the audience acquainted with transgenic aquarium fishes which glow in darkness and gave everyone an opportunity to participate in detachment of DNA from a banana and separation of DNA examples by size.

Afterwards, Andrii Tuzhykov offered everyone to explore A Brief History of Technology. Both children and a lot of adults were present at the lecture.

I believe that my books are not exclusively for children although they fit children better. It is never late to study and I really enjoy sharing knowledge and explaining complicated things in simple words, - Andrii calms the audience.
