LuckyBooks held a master class with prizes for teenagers. It was based on the book #whatismathematics (original #щотакематематика), which will be issued this year.

The book’s author Dmytro Kuzmenko, known as Kuz’ko Kuzyakin, is a twice winner of the Korneichuk Prize. The contest is the most popular in Ukraine in the field of children's literature and is held in Odessa for the fifth consecutive year. It unites not only domestic authors but also the ones from far abroad.

Dmytro Kuzmenko says that the book is not about mathematics, but about the philosophy of mathematics, the basic principles on which it functions. Therefore, reading will be interesting and useful not only for children, but also for adults:

This is a very spontaneous book. One morning I just had in my head this phrase "what is mathematics", and I immediately decided that I would write such book. Then, of course, I regretted many times that I acted with such impulse, but it was too late to retreat :) For the sake of justice, it should be noted that a book titled "What is mathematics?" Is already written, and not even one, but it will be the first edition, where before this phrase still stands a sign #

By the way, the author himself will illustrate the book. The book is expected to be issued in fall by Tempora publishing house. And a mathematical quest on the motives of the book will appear in our social networks very soon.

In Odessa master class, 10-year-old Vlad won another popular book by Kuzmenko "White little black very black book". Although he says that he does not really like math:

I solved the puzzle on why a single neighbour had a lot of snow, and in another one had less. I had to think hard, though. In general, I like to read adventure books, about Tom Sawyer, Robinson Crusoe, and popular science – about the planet Earth.
