LuckyBooks are modern books with scientific content and is applied in the direction of both domestic and foreign authors. The project incvolves authoritative writers and scientists, the best translators, illustrators, psychologists, educators and national publishers. "Knyzhkovyy Arsenal" (book fair) is the largest literary arts festival in Eastern Europe and it supports the trend of the new approach to popularize science among teenagers. LuckyBooks has the same task - intellectual Ukrainization of younger generation.

“We have found that today in Ukraine publishing non-fiction is not easy, –  says Marta Levchenko, head of the Foundation "I am future of Ukraine." – Publishers can not operate at a loss, but a good book is quite expensive. Thus, good literature is not what all parents can afford. So we decided to help the emergence of such books with our own efforts. This is a joint project of my foundation and our long standing patron IT company “Lucky Labs”. At first, wards of charitable organization will get the books, and then the books will also be distributed among the children's libraries of the Eastern Ukraine, where there is no access to Ukrainian literature of good quality. Moreover, during some time the e-versions of published books will be available for everybody free of charge. We reserve the right of the publishers to publish and distribute the books among bookstores all over Ukraine. The main point is that we want the popular science book for Ukrainian teens to be a rare thing no longer.

"We want to help Ukrainian Elon Musks to appear. LuckyBooks – is not encyclopedias, but books of modern scientific content. A wide range of topics, starting from the use of mathematics in everyday life to mastering the space. Everything that may be interesting for modern superactive teens in our technological world. The book’s content will be interesting, interactive and unusual, affordable and with no boring teaching texts, with colorful infographics. And the books will be in Ukrainian language! " – said Anton Ivanov, project manager of IT company “Lucky Labs”.

Experts’ Council helps to select the authors and topics of books. The adolescents themselves will also have an opportunity to offer the directions of books’ topics. The teens will be entertained online in social networks through interactive competitions based on books as well as offline – through variety of lectures, workshops, meetings with authors, scientists all over Ukraine.

"Thank God, today we can say for sure that we have a boom in the spere of children's literature. There are some publishers who have done a lot, and have done so for decades. I have two boys, they are also interested in all kinds of new books. Our house is full of children's books of high quality, some of these books are even among the best in the world. I wish that our project was also the best in the world, that we set the tone of such teen literature in the world. And perhaps our publications encourage inventions that solve many problems: the problems of pollution, healthcare and so on. And the projects’ name is cool, too: ‘lucky book’. Thus, everything will be great!" – says educator and singer Oleg Skrypka, who is one of the members of the project’s Experts’s Council, to encourage the organizers.

Evgen Miroshnichenko, president of the Association of practicing psychologists and another member of LuckyBooks’ Experts’ Council stressed the importance of a new approach to contemporary literature for children: "The world has changed, it has become very dynamic. And the ability to learn new things is crucial. Therefore, entertainment literature and textbooks will be replaced with popular educational books. I believe that LuckyBooks’ books wil be very integral and will ecourage to read, they will set goals and give concrete tools how to interact in this complex world, where to move, what to speak about. The book should be a good bridge between adults’ and children's world."

During the presentation first book that will be released as part of the project was announced. The author is the master of children’s non-fiction literature Dmytro Kuzmenko, known as Kuz’ko Kuzyakin ( "White a little black such a black book", "Toothy puzzles", etc.). The book will tell about mathematics outside the box that surrounds us in everyday life. it will be published by "Tempora" publication house in autumn.
